RESEARCH DIRECTION

Where Schep Capital is heading

The goal is to span more of the market over time — more asset classes, more signals, more ways to find alpha that others miss.

  1. NOWLIVE JUL 6
    Launch

Global Equity Strategy goes live in three risk variants, running in production from July 6, 2026.

  2. NEXT
    More asset classes

Extend the strategy across more equity markets, then into other asset classes — commodities, FX, and crypto.

  3. THEN
    Long and short

Move beyond long-only into long/short, isolating the signal from market direction for a more market-neutral return.

  4. LATER
    More signals

Diversify beyond momentum into additional, complementary return signals, combined into a single, more robust book.

  5. VISION
    Multi-strategy fund

A diversified, risk-balanced book spanning asset classes, signals, and both directions.

FOUNDER

Reinier Schep

Founder & Portfolio Manager

Reinier founded Schep Capital to run systematic strategies using creative ideas to extract alpha from the markets. The moat is thinking of things no-one thinks of.

Ideas over infrastructure. I don't compete on speed, scale, or compute — those are fights won by capital, not insight. So my strategies don't depend on any of them. The edge comes from combining readily available data in creative ways, and rigorously testing results. I try to make as few assumptions as possible — the fewer things that have to hold true, the more robust the strategy is when conditions change.
